    Description

“HOW YA GONNA KEEP’EM DOWN ON THE FARM(AFTER THEY’VE SEEN PAREE?” is a great piece of sheet music that added comic relief to the WWI effort.
This is a one owner piece of sheet music that has been in the same family and stored for many years.
The cover is in great condition with just some minor bends on the top and bottom corners.
Inside has no pencil or pen markings and no tears. Back shows handling, otherwise very good.
The artist for the front cover, Barbelle, combines an almost circus like atmosphere to the music.
Combining a can can girl, WWI Dough Boys, a tractor and a circus tent background with the old farmer at the forefront.
This sheet music for vocal and piano was published in 1919 by Waterson, Berlin and Snyder Company. It measures 9’ x 12” Words by Joe Young and Sam M. Lewis and Music by Walter Donaldson.
